The University of Western Australia’s Engineering in Medicine and Biology Student Club (UWA EMBS) was formed earlier this year with a passionate team, to promote and engage students in all aspects of biomedical engineering around Western Australia.

The UWA EMBS is a student organization created from the global Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. This is one of forty societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The IEEE is the world’s leading professional association for the advancement of technology. The UWA EMBS is proud to be associated with the UWA IEEE Student Branch.

The UWA EMBS works within two interrelated areas, Academic and Industry. We aim to help the student interested in biomedical engineering, reach their potential while studying at UWA, and then make a difference in the broader community.
